You may recall Josh and I incorporated touches of gold in our big-day design for both elegance and glamour. The first pop came in the form of tiny stars scattered inside the invites (many of Josh’s friends were not thrilled, but they got over it). No matter what your theme or color scheme, a pop of metallic can be a truly lovely addition to any wedding. Here are some of my favorite ways to add a golden glow to your special day.

Create a whimsical photo booth backdrop with strings of golden dots. These add a lovely shimmer to any pictures taken in front of them. Image via PopSugar.
Romantic pink (or any color!) cotton tablecloths get an instant pop of jazz from chunky gold glitter. Love this! Image via RuffledBlog.
Break out your spray paint can and go to town on DIY details like these awesome “LOVE” bottles. You can use dollar store letter vases for this, or try old wine bottles and create your lettering with black Sharpie. Image via Polkadot Bride.
Super-simple and awesome for an Autumn wedding, I adore the gold ribbon ties on these elegant programs. Image via Style Me Pretty.
Bring the theme full-circle by incorporating it in your own look. This cutout golden ballet flats are so sweet — and likely, quite comfortable! Image via Burnett’s Boards.
